Here’s to
another first time. I know it’s already raining here in the Philippines and
summer was about to end but we were determined to push our trip to Baguio City. This is a DIY trip so we planned this trip over a week including our itinerary,
place to stay, and of course our budget.
DAY 1. We bought our
ticket to Baguio at Victory Liner- Pasay a week before our scheduled trip. We arrived at around 6:00AM and grabbed a taxi
to Magsaysay Rd. wherein the “Baguio Village Inn” located. Luckily, they have an available room and allowed us to early check-in. If you are looking for a budget-friendly place to stay in Baguio, I highly recommend this place which costs P800.00/night (good for two). The place was very
accessible and convenient to almost all the tourist spots.

After we've settled everything in our room and made sure that all our belongings we're safe, we headed out for breakfast, we were very hungry from a 6-hour trip and we've decided to eat at a fast-food chain near Burnham Park.
BURNHAM PARK is the first place on our itinerary list. This park offers a lot of activities and has a great spot if you want to do some photo-ops. After we explored and enjoyed the place, we rode a jeepney bound to MINES VIEW PARK. It is a park known for souvenir cheap finds.
Aside from the cheap stuff, we enjoyed the famous "Strawberry Taho" a Filipino dessert made from soya added with strawberry. We stayed there for almost an hour then we went to THE MANSION, the official summer residence of the president of the country, and one of the most visited places in Baguio and across The Mansion is THE WRIGHT PARK.
It was nearly lunchtime and we went to the KETCHUP FOOD COMMUNITY, a food community composed of Baguio home-grown includes Canto, Happy Tummy, Rancho Norte, Rumah Sate and Green Pepper. After choosing and slightly arguing about where to eat, we've decided to eat at Rancho Norte, they serve Filipino comfort food and drinks.
The ambiance of the place was good so with the food. If you are on a budget like us, try their combo meals. After fulfilling our hungry tummy, we headed to the BOTANICAL GARDEN. To end our Day 1 itinerary, we ate Lomi near our inn for dinner.

DAY 2. After our Day 1 adventures, we're quite familiar now with the place. To start our second day, we had a good breakfast at the famous restaurant and cafe in town, the Good Taste. We have tried their famous Buttered Chicken!

I recommend this place especially if you are visiting Baguio in a group, this is an affordable place with good foods. It was raining when we're about to leave and our next destination was the STRAWBERRY FARM! And as what they've said, your Baguio adventures would never be complete without visiting this place.

Sadly, we're not able to experience the strawberry picking because of the weather, but we bought some strawberries for pasalubong and we enjoyed our strawberry ice cream. After the strawberry farm, we had a stopover at these colorful houses.
Then, we went to Session Rd. the center of the city and had our lunch at Oh My Gulay! a restaurant that offers vegetarian cuisines.
We ordered Tandang Sora Parmigiana (Right) and Heneral Luna's Shitake (Left). After eating, we walked a few blocks at Session Rd. and rode a jeepney to Kennon Rd. a major road that leads to the city. The road was so stiffed and it was raining so hard but at least we had the chance to visit the Lion's Head.
We waited for a jeepney back to the city for almost an hour, we were so nervous because it was getting dark with heavy rain, fortunately, the locals helped us and we've finally got back to Session Rd. at around 7:00PM. Then we went to Starbucks before getting back to our inn. That is how our second day went.
DAY 3/LAST DAY. We packed our things the night earlier because we need to check out at 12:00NN, we woke up early and went to Session Rd. and had our breakfast at VOLANTE. The food was superb! After breakfast, we went to the BELL CHURCH our last destination on our itinerary list.
We had a great time exploring and wandering the city of pines. Another check on my bucket list! I am so thankful that I shared this opportunity with my favorite travel buddy. That is how our DIY 3D2N trip in Baguio City went, another memory to treasure! Thank you for reading my long blog! ♥♥♥
